			Across the BSC’s 20 properties there are 2 acres of vegetable gardens, urban forest and other outdoor spaces for member use. Each unit’s garden varies in size, existing plants, and desired outdoor use for its residents. Budget and work shift allocations vary accordingly and are determined at a unit level. The following list draws upon existing position descriptions from units across the BSC as a reference for common expectations of the GM position.
			:::A. Ensuring the habitability of their unit’s outdoor space.
			::::•Alignment with fire safety, including ensuring the unit complies with municipal and state fire regulations and
			::::•Respond to rodent harborage recommendations of the HAB coordinator.
			::::•Implement defensive space recommendations from the Berkeley Fire Department including removing build up of vegetation within several feet of the unit's walls and clearing large piles of organic matter debris.
			::::•Establishment and maintenance of aesthetics so that units present a clean and green face to their neighbors.
			::::•Assessing tree health and safety, pruning where possible. Coordinating with the BSC Maintenance Director, Operations Crew and/or HAB Coordinator for larger trimming and removal.
