The VPEA principal responsibilities are to engage with and represent the BSC’s interests to external stakeholders. The VPEA shall meet regularly with student leaders and staff members in determining BSC marketing needs, direction, and relations. The VPEA shall be proactive in engaging with the press, city officials, university officials, students, student associations, and the greater community. The VPEA shall attend University, City, and outside agencies meetings and events as necessary. The VPEA shall review and evaluate the BSC's image and perception external stakeholders. In addition, they shall oversee the recruitment efforts to reach historically marginalized groups and take into consideration the demographics of the BSC. The VPEA will educate the Board about issues pertaining to their area of work as needed throughout their term and oversee the work of any Board Representatives assigned to assist them. The VPEA may be directed by Board to serve on additional task forces and committees. The VPEA shall work with their successor to ensure a smooth transition of duties and responsibilities. The principal responsibilities of the Vice President of Education & Training (VPET) are to monitor the status of and facilitate
Board direction and oversight of the policies and directives governing all aspects of the member education of the BSC.
Accordingly, the VPET is responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the [[I.B._Committees#I.B.6._EDUCATION_AND_TRAINING_COMMITTEE_.28ETCom.29|Education and Training Committee
(ETCom)]], whose work it is to undertake the review and revision of BSC policies, directives and programs related to member

:2. In accordance with the ETCom description, ensure regular review of all policies, plans and programs governing student staff training, house officer training, Board member training, student leadership training, and member education.
:3. As problems are identified, forward recommendations for policy changes, projects or inquiries to the appropriate committee, staffperson, executive or the Board.
:4. Coordinate with and assist the MEC where necessary.
:5. In coordination with the MEC chair, shall plan, organize and conduct a General Membership Meeting every Spring.
:6. Attend the Central Level Student Staff Orientation meeting held by the Member Resources Supervisor.
:7. Oversee Board-initiated referenda processes

:9. Serve on ad hoc committees as required by Board or policy.
:10. Report to the Board, Cabinet, and other Committees as needed regarding the implementation and enforcement of Board policies and directives related to member education and training.
:11. Report to the Board of Directors when procedural errors are believed to have occurred in any adjudication proceedings, and ensure that the Board of Directors determines whether or not a procedural error has indeed occurred.
