The VPEA principal responsibilities are to engage with and represent the BSC’s interests to external stakeholders. The VPEA shall meet regularly with student leaders and staff members in determining BSC marketing needs, direction, and relations. The VPEA shall be proactive in engaging with the press, city officials, university officials, students, student associations, and the greater community. The VPEA shall attend University, City, and outside agencies meetings and events as necessary. The VPEA shall review and evaluate the BSC's image and perception external stakeholders. In addition, they shall oversee the recruitment efforts to reach historically marginalized groups and take into consideration the demographics of the BSC. The VPEA will educate the Board about issues pertaining to their area of work as needed throughout their term and oversee the work of any Board Representatives assigned to assist them. The VPEA may be directed by Board to serve on additional task forces and committees. The VPEA shall work with their successor to ensure a smooth transition of duties and responsibilities. Eligibility: Only sitting Directors are eligible to serve as VPEA

Expected hours per week: 15-18

Compensation: Stipend equal to 75% of room and board rate
